2009 Photos: Birds, Butterflies, Beautyberries, Bullfrogs, Bears and More
It's been a busy year -- little time for pictures -- but I have managed to snap a few. As always, I'm blessed to spend much of my time in places where we get to see a bit of wildlife, and I love sharing it.

Yellow-Crowned Night Heron
Despite the name, we saw him in the daytime. Walking through First Flight Park, my Forum colleague Nathan Winters pointed it out. For some reason it just posed for us for about ten minutes, letting us get within 20 feet of it. A great experience to finally see a bird I'd seen pictures of for years!
