It's been a busy year -- little time for pictures -- but I have managed to snap a few. As always, I'm blessed to spend much of my time in places where we get to see a bit of wildlife, and I love sharing it.

Scuppernong
In 1524 Sir Francis Drake discovered the first scuppernong grapes at the site of what became the Lost Colony These first and best-known of themMuscadine family of grapes still grow wild in Duck, not far from the place that Drake first sighted them. (They taste awful, as does the wine made from them.)
